Deleting your account
You can delete your Faydally account, and everything on it, from inside the app. No email, no form, no waiting on us.
Last updated 19 August 2026
In the app
- Open Faydally — the listener app, Faydally Studio, or the web player in a browser.
- Go to Profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and choose Delete account.
- Confirm with your password. If you signed in with Google or Apple, confirming is enough.
Without the app
You do not need to install anything. Either:
- Sign in to the web player at faydally.com in any browser and follow the same steps: Profile → Delete account; or
- Email rights@faydally.com from the address on the account with the subject “Delete my Faydally account”. We reply to confirm the request came from you, and then delete the account on your behalf. The same 30-day hold below applies.
What happens straight away
- You are signed out on every device.
- Anything you published is taken down and stops playing — including for people who had downloaded it or added it to a playlist.
- Your public playlists become private, and your profile stops appearing anywhere.
What happens after 30 days
Your account is held for 30 days first, so that a deletion you did not mean — or that somebody else made — can be undone. Signing back in during those 30 days restores everything.
After 30 days the following are erased permanently and cannot be recovered:
- Your email address, name, password and profile.
- Your likes, follows, subscriptions, playlists, listening history and resume positions.
- Your downloads and any offline entitlements.
What is kept, and why
Two things outlive the account, both with your name taken off them:
- Play counts. Creators are paid on these, and deleting them would restate earnings that have already been settled. The counts stay; the link to you does not.
- Reports and moderation records. A decision about someone else's work has to keep the evidence it was made on. The record stays; your identity is removed from it.
If you published work, the recordings themselves stay in our systems but taken down and not playable. They are no longer attributed to you. This is so that deleting an account cannot be used to erase a takedown or a copyright decision after the fact.
If you cannot get into your account
Use the email route above. If you no longer have access to that address either, write from any address with the account's email and display name, and tell us how you usually signed in; we will ask for enough to be sure the account is yours before removing it.
